Introduction

Wayanad is present in the north eastern side of Kerala and it is mainly a beautiful district of Kerala. From Bangalore to Kerala one can travel by train, aircraft, or even any government buses. The roads away from Bangalore to Wayanad are kind of off-road and which one can experience. The buses direct from Bangalore to Wayanad can charge 1500 to 2000 per person so if one can afford that they may go direct by bus or else then travel by train to Mysore then to Wayanad. The overall remoteness from Bangalore to Mysore is approximately 160 km. The way has lovely greenery Grasslands.

Distance from Mysore to Wayanad 

The distance from Mysore to Wayanad is 130 km. But at a whole distance if we see then from Bangalore to Wayanad the distance is approx 280 km. Wayanad is one of the best places where one can spend their weekend with families and friends. Wayanad is famous for its natural beauty, tea estates, wildlife and spices. One can also do numerous fun activities like zip line, water sports etc. One can spend the best time of 2 to 3 days in Wayanad and feel the close essence of nature and stay away from the city, traffic and pollution for a few days. Wayanad is mainly in Kerala and it is a beautiful hill station which lies on the Karnataka and Kerala border.

Places to visit Bangalore to Wayanad

 The tourists are attracted by the beautiful hill station and lush green grasslands with a peaceful atmosphere. One can easily travel for 2 to 3 days with friends and family there and stay in luxury hotels and can enjoy various fun activities. They can walk on tea estates and jungle which would make the trip memorable with a mesmerising experience. Wayanad has various sightseeing to explore and if one is travelling with their own car then it is a good way as it would save money but if you are travelling without your own car then you can take rented auto or cars that would cost 2000 and 3000 respectively per day.

Wayanad to Bangalore

 If you are driving down make sure you are careful while driving because 60 to 70 km travel on the hilly roads can be Little scary. The nearest railway station from Bangalore is Kozhikode and then you have to travel 60 km more to reach Wayanad in local Kerala government buses or cars. Wayanad is mainly a scattered place which means there is no particular centred place where everyone visits, there are many such places where anyone can visit, resorts are also situated in a scattered way.

 Every destination has a 20 to 25 km gap in between. The main city in Wayanad one can say is Kalpetta and on its southern way there is Vythiri and on the northern way there is Sultan Bathery. So, these places are the  most visited places and one can choose their accommodation among these three places.

 Kalpetta is the city centre and one can have beautiful resorts and hotels to stay there but the most beautiful resorts you can get at Vythiri where one can experience resorts with beautiful nature. The price for the home stays like bungalows or resorts starts from 2000 per night for one room and the hotel price starts from 800-900 per night. 

 If you stay at Vythiri, the Pookode Lake near Vythiri is a good sightseeing place, it is a natural lake and one can walk alongside the lake on the walking trail. 

Also boating is available there and the price starts from 350 which is two sitter paddling boats and make sure that you enter before 5pm as the lake closes after 5 pm. After that in the evening you can visit the Lakkidi view point which is a beautiful valley. The Lakkidi view point is the last point of the district Wayanad. 

 The valley is very beautiful with the greenery all around and one must be careful with the monkeys as there are a lot of monkeys present. There is a Zipline point where you can experience a Zipline 500 m above the tea estates. The price of the Zipline is 350 for each person.

 Then comes Bansagar lake and the price for entrance is 40 per person and if with children then 20 extra. If one would do videography, photography, Zipline, speed boat etc. then other specific  charges are applicable on those.
