In this service we use a special dye for eyebrows and eyelashes. For the eyebrows we always go for a dark brown or light brown color that is two shades darker than the hair. The objective is to cover gray hair if there are any or to frame the look with a darker tone when it comes to blonde people, as is the case with Helen, whose eyebrows looked too light and wanted to bring more expressiveness to her face. For the eyelashes we use a dark brown, black or even blue, which gives it a very nice reflection. For Helen we have used black.
Process for Tinting Eyebrows and Eyelashes
- We remove make-up from the area with a non-greasy gel or product so as not to hinder the adherence of the product.
- We apply Vaseline around the eyes and eyelashes, thus creating a protective layer between the skin and the product.
- We mix the chosen dye with the neutralizer and apply it with a brush, insisting from the root to the tip, both on the eyebrows and on the eyelashes.
- We clean the excess product with a cotton swab.
- We let the product act between 15 and 20 minutes.
Remove the dye with a cotton pad or gauze soaked in water. It is not necessary to apply any type of make-up remover.
Finally we wax the eyebrow if necessary for an optimal result.
When we remove the dye, we always clean the eyes with saline, which tends to get a little irritated. Even if the eye is closed, when noticing a product on the eyelash, we always try to blink a little and when we remove the dye with water, we may notice a slight stinging.
Finally, it is convenient to apply a treatment product to the eyelashes that hydrates, strengthens and nourishes the eyelashes. For Helen we have used Covermark’s Magic Lashes mascara, which although it is a tinted mascara, is an “all-in-one” mascara, enriched with hyaluronic acid and Vitamins A, C and E for an anti-aging action.
Another service that we carry out in the cabin for the eyelashes apart from the dye is the permanent, which provides a curling effect on the eyelashes and, accompanied by the dye, gives a very fresh and natural appearance for the summer season in which baths are frequent.
