Poker Variations
There are many kinds of poker, but most play the same way and use the same hand history.
No- limit Texas hold’em (NLH)
In poker, “no-limit Texas Holdem “is a game where players receive two hole cards and five community cards (the flop, turn, and river). Participants can construct the best hand with their hole cards and community cards.
Pot Limit Omaha (PLO)
- Each player gets four hole cards instead of two.
- To make the best five cards, a player must always use 2 of the 4 cards they were given and 3 of the 5 community cards.
- There is a limit to how much a user can raise on their turn. Any amount less than or equal to the pot value can be added.
Pot Limit Omaha 5
The rules for a 5-card PLO are the same as those for a 4-card PLO. You must use 2 of your hole cards and 3 of the 5 community cards to make your hand.
The only difference is that you get 5 hole cards instead of 4.
Game Play
In a Poker game, there are three limits on how much you can bet.
Pot-Limit
Only as much as the size of the pot can the player bet or raise. This bet is also based on how many other bets are still on the table and how much the POT is.
No Limit

Fixed Limit

Pre-Flop
It refers to the part of the hand that is played before the flop is dealt with.
Flop
After the pre-flop round, three community cards are dealt face-up on the table, and the next betting round begins.
Turn
The dealer gives out one more card, and then the third round of betting starts.
River
The last card is dealt to the community, and the previous betting round begins.
At the Showdown, all active players show their cards, and the pot winner is the one with the best five-card combination.

Bet
Putting money into the pot to bet.
Raise
Putting more money into the pot than your opponent did.
Check

Call

Fold

Hand Rankings
To win at poker, you need to have the best hand. The hand rankings are as follows, from highest to lowest:
- Royal Flush-A, K, Q, J, 10 of the same suit.
- Straight Flush-Five cards of the same suit in a sequence.
- Four of a Kind- Four cards of the same rank.
- Full House- Three of a kind and a pair.
- Flush- Five cards of the same suit.
- Straight- Five cards in a sequence, but not of the same suit.
